4. Therefore, we proclaim that, after ascending to heaven, Jesus Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father (we confess it in the Creed: sedet ad dexteram Patris, and we read it in Mk. 16, 19), which means that He reigns and judges, because being seated at the right hand of the Father is the same as «sharing together with the Father the glory of divinity, beatitude, and judicial power; and this in perpetuity and as a king», as Saint Thomas Aquinas teaches (S. th., III, q. 58, a. 1 resp; a. 2 resp).
