The recent fall of Bashar Al Assad’s regime and the Syrian Arab Republic, tied to the logic of the so-called «Arab Spring» promoted by the United States and its permanent aircraft carrier in the region — the pirate Zionist entity known as Israel — presents a catastrophic and desolate picture. This includes the potential balkanization of the Syrian Arab Republic into micro-fiefdoms led by terrorist warlords with conflicting interests, making them easier to control by the so-called State of Israel, the neo-Ottoman regime of Erdogan, or the United States itself. Such a scenario threatens to plunge the country into a bloodbath comparable only to what occurred in Libya in 2011. Amid this bleak panorama, Syrian Christians — who, along with Palestinians, Lebanese, Iraqis, Jordanians, and Egyptian Copts, are our legitimate and true elder brothers in the Faith — are once again facing martyrdom and the potential disappearance from a part of the Holy Land.
Why consider Syria part of the Holy Land? Recall the conversion of St. Paul in Damascus and his subsequent preaching, the founding of the See of Antioch by St. Peter himself (the first place where those formerly called «Nazarenes» were named «Christians»), the miraculous escape of St. Thecla, disciple of the Apostle to the Gentiles, when a mountain miraculously opened in Maaloula — a town still predominantly Christian. There is also the ascetic life of St. Simeon Stylites, who lived for 30 years on a pillar as an example of monasticism; the ruins of the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Basilica near Aleppo, where the base of St. Simeon’s column remains. Consider Sednaya, where the Blessed Virgin appeared to Emperor Justinian and in whose convent, according to the chronicles of various pilgrims, Templar and Hospitaller knights would leave the crosses from their mantles as ex-votos. Finally, reflect on the life of the incomparable St. John of Damascus — the great apologist for the veneration of Holy Images and a precursor to the Scholasticism later developed by the Angelic Doctor. These examples alone suffice to demonstrate Syria’s rightful place within the Holy Land and its invaluable contributions to Christendom.
This profound spiritual heritage, meaningful for all of Christendom, is now at risk of vanishing under the crushing grip of Mohammedanism, fueled by its Zionist, Turkish, and Anglo-American masters. With the removal of its protector, the regime of Bashar Al Assad, there remains no human barrier capable of halting their macabre and diabolical plans.
Before the Arab Spring and Civil War, Syria’s Christian population numbered around two million (10% of the population). Today, only 300,000 remain, and this figure is likely to decline drastically in the coming months. Although reliable information on Syria’s future is scarce, there are already verifiable reports of Islamist restrictions against Christians, such as banning public Christmas celebrations, the killing of a Greek-rite archbishop, and the imposition of the jizya tax (mandated by sharia for non-Muslims). The remaining Christians live in fear, both for their Faith and their association with a regime that granted them relative religious freedom. Uncertainty and fear prevail, while the self-proclaimed “West” looks on with indifference or even mockery — perhaps because these innocent people are Christians — while simultaneously welcoming waves of Mohammedans who share the same intentions as the groups now ravaging Syria.
What is happening in this part of the Holy Land must not be ignored, as it serves as a warning of what is increasingly likely to occur in the near future. Militant atheism and cretinous, morally bankrupt ultraliberalism pave the way for wars led by a fanatical and militant Mohammedanism whose sole objective is to impose the quranic deception across the globe.
The martyrdom of our elder brothers who pray in Arabic, Greek, or Aramaic may soon befall those of us who pray in Latin. Therefore, let us renew our Faith, fight for the public restoration of the Social Reign of Christ, and defend the Legitimate Monarchy — the only remaining bulwark against the Saracen and Zionist onslaught.
