Last weekend, Saturday October 15, took place a symposium in honor of Blessed Charles Emperor of Austria and King of Hungary. More than 700 guests from Texas, 26 other States and 6 different countries attended the event in Dallas (Texas). The Plano event center opened doors at 8.30 in a sunny beautiful clear sky morning. The event was organized by prominent business and Catholic gentleman Mr. David Ross. He was able to manage the attendance of his excellency Bishop Athanasius Schneider, HIRH Archduke Edward von Habsburg, Hungarian Ambassador to The Holy See and great-great-great grandson of Bl. Charles’ predecessor Emperor Franz Josef, Ms. Suzanne Pearson, North American Delegate of the Emperor Charles Prayer League, Mr. Charles Coulombe, author, historian, lecturer, Bl. Charles biographer, and HIRH Princess Maria-Anna von Habsburg Galitzine, granddaughter of Blessed Charles. In addition, other relevant figures of the NorthAmerican Catholic media, music and businesses were present at the event and had the opportunity to engage with the audience at different times. Dr. Taylor Marshall was one of those seen in the audience signing few books on his latest «Antichrist and the Apocalypse». Besides, clergy and religious admittance was free, and as a result, priests from different orders and fraternities were seen in attendance as well. The large room rented was almost full. The booths at the back consisting of art dealers, book sellers and clothing venues, gave dynamism to the success of the event that lasted until the time for a raffle ticket was up. Also, a selection of hors d’oeuvres and refreshments were made available for the audience around noon time.
After a vibrant introduction to the event and to the figure of blessed Charles by Mr. David Ross, HIRH Archduke Eduard von Habsburg began the series of lectures. His talk was on «Blessed Charles’ example on how to live once vocation in Faith, Family and Job». He highlighted the importance of death and how visualizing that moment has a tremendous force in order to live a life of piety; «Keep a rosary in your pocket at all times, use it and wear the scapular» were some of the exhortations he directed to an audience that enjoyed his cheerful and warm speech. He also disclosed that the Habsburgs manage a WhatsApp chat where the younger generations actively participate. He asked them who was their favorite Habsburg and the answer was overwhelmingly in favor of Blessed Charles. Reason being, the loyalty he kept at all times in fulfilling his duties of state, marriage and family despite the numerous setbacks, treasons and humiliations received during his lifetime. After him, Mr. Charles Coulombe took the microphone and spoke about Blessed Charles and the crisis of leadership in today’s world. A crisis in masculinity and the key role fathers are supposed to play in society and don’t. Mr. Coulombe opposed to this «real drama» the example of Blessed Charles; A righteous leader, devoted and faithful husband, tender father and loyal friend. Mr. Coulombe is actually living in Austria and currently working on a biography of Empress Zita.
Her name was widely repeated through the symposium by virtually all the speakers pointing out her devotedness to her husband, and her kind but strict code of conduct. There was a loveable moment when HIRH Princess Maria-Anna von Habsburg Galitzine and her cousin HIRH Archduke Edward von Habsburg highlighted Empress Zita’s gentleness towards her grandchildren. She was always interested in letting them express their opinions about different matters during family reunions. She always made sure everyone had a turn to speak up his mind with respect and sincerity.
On the other hand, Suzanne Pearson, North American Delegate of the Emperor Charles Prayer League, took the turn later on to provide an exhaustive account on why Bl. Charles was sent to the Island of Madeira and left there to die in poverty. After her most interesting dissertation the audience received amply proof of the freemasonic conspiracy orchestrated to end and divide the Austrian Empire and the kingdom of Hungary. The goal to replace Bl. Charles always head on clash with his God given determination to keep ruling the empire and Hungary despite the numerous opportunities to give it all up in exchange for fortunes and a comfortable life.

Finally, members of the Traditionalist Carlist Circle Camino Real de Tejas and their families were present at the event wearing their red berets. They received numerous inquiries from the public intrigued by the symbolism of the «Txapelas». Hence the Carlists generously distributed information sheets prepared in advance. Given the nature of the event, the topics of the Carlist cause and the relevant figure of HRH Prince Sixtus Henry of Bourbon, legitimate King of the Spains and Bl. Charles’ nephew, were well received by the audience and the guest speakers. Additionally, fellow Carlist leader Daniel Rodríguez, was invited to the stand during a pause between the lectures, and had the opportunity to introduce the audience to «Sensus Fidelium TV», a new resolute Catholic digital platform. Priests were also given Santa Cruz Apaizaren and St. Ignatius of Loyola prayer cards. Furthermore, Mr. Charles Coulombe was seen shouting «Viva Cristo-Rey», «Vivan los Requetés» and «Viva El Rey» during a post event dinner that brought joy and smiles to the friends of the Carlist cause there present.
After His Lordship Bishop Schneider enlightened the audience on the evils of naturalism and Liberalism, Mr. David Ross put an end to the event with another brilliant and moving speech. He appealed with firm determination to not let anybody steal our Christian Joy. The joy to serve the true king, the true God during our lifetime. No matter the scandals from outside and inside the Church, no matter the sewer-putrid filth we are unfortunately called to endure from the enemies of Holy Mother Church, never give up to sadness. Christ is King, Christ has won and one day we will eternally rejoice with him in his heavenly glory.

El pasado fin de semana, sábado 15 de octubre, tuvo lugar un simposio en honor al Beato Carlos, Emperador de Austria y Rey de Hungría. Más de 700 invitados de Texas, otros 26 Estados y 6 países diferentes asistieron al evento en Dallas (Texas). El centro de conferencias «Plano» abrió sus puertas a las 8:30 de una hermosa y soleada mañana de cielo despejado. El organizador del acto era un caballero católico y empresario, el Sr. David Ross. Acudieron su Excelencia el obispo Athanasius Schneider, su Alteza Real Imperial el archiduque Eduardo den Habsburgo, embajador húngaro ante la Santa Sede y tataranieto del Emperador Francisco José, predecesor del Beato Carlos, la Sra. Suzanne Pearson, la delegada de América del Norte de la Liga de Oración del Emperador Carlos, el Sr. Charles Coulombe, autor, historiador, conferenciante y biógrafo del Beato Carlos, y su Alteza Real Imperial la Princesa Maria-Anna de Habsburgo Galitzine, nieta del Beato Carlos. Además, estuvieron presentes otras figuras relevantes de los medios, la música y las empresas católicas norteamericanas y tuvieron la oportunidad de interactuar con la audiencia en diferentes momentos. Destacó la importancia de la muerte y cómo no perder de vista ese momento da una fuerza tremenda para llevar una vida de piedad: «Lleva siempre un rosario en el bolsillo, úsalo y ponte el escapulario», fueron algunas de las exhortaciones que dirigió a un público que disfrutó de su alegre y cálido discurso. También reveló que los Habsburgo manejan un chat de WhatsApp donde las generaciones más jóvenes participan activamente. Les preguntó quién era su Habsburgo favorito y la respuesta fue abrumadoramente a favor del Beato Carlos. Razón de ser, la lealtad que mantuvo en todo momento en el cumplimiento de sus deberes de estado, matrimonio y familia a pesar de los numerosos reveses, traiciones y vejaciones recibidas durante su vida. Después de él, el Sr. Charles Coulombe tomó el micrófono y habló sobre el Beato Carlos y la crisis de liderazgo en el mundo de hoy. Una crisis en la masculinidad y el papel clave que se supone que los padres juegan en la sociedad y no lo hacen. Recibieron numerosas consultas del público intrigado por la simbología de las «Txapelas». De ahí que los carlistas distribuyeran generosamente hojas informativas preparadas con antelación. Dada la naturaleza del evento, los temas de la causa carlista y la figura relevante de S.A.R Don Sixto Enrique de Borbón, Rey legítimo de España y sobrino del Beato Carlos, fueron bien recibidos por el público y los oradores invitados. Además, el también líder carlista Daniel Rodríguez, fue invitado al estrado durante una pausa entre las conferencias, y tuvo la oportunidad de presentar a la audiencia «Sensus Fidelium TV», una nueva plataforma digital decididamente católica. También se entregaron a los sacerdotes estampas del Cura Santa Cruz y de San Ignacio de Loyola. Además, se vio a D. Charles Coulombe gritando «Viva Cristo-Rey», «Vivan los Requetés» y «Viva El Rey» durante una cena post conferencia que trajo alegría y sonrisas a los amigos de la causa carlista allí presentes.
Después de que Su Ilustrísima el obispo Schneider iluminara a la audiencia sobre los males del naturalismo y el liberalismo, el Sr. David Ross puso fin al evento con otro discurso brillante y conmovedor. Apeló con firme determinación a que nadie nos robe la alegría cristiana. El gozo de servir al verdadero rey, al verdadero Dios durante nuestra vida. No importan los escándalos de fuera y dentro de la Iglesia, no importa la inmundicia pútrida de las cloacas que lamentablemente estamos llamados a soportar de parte de los enemigos de la Santa Madre Iglesia, nunca te rindas a la tristeza. Cristo es Rey, Cristo ha vencido y un día nos regocijaremos eternamente con Él en su gloria celestial.
